Born and raised as an expat in Doha, Samreen has a BSc in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, Pakistan and an MSc in Economic Development from Adam Smith Center of Development Studies, University of Glasgow, UK. Prior to joining Georgetown University Qatar, Samreen worked in multiple roles in various organizations; worked as Credit Analyst in United Bank Limited, Doha, a Writer for online magazine Newzglobe and Public Relations and Press Officer for Qatar Green Building Council – Qatar Foundation.

Currently, as an Economics Support Coordinator in Office of Academic Services, she assists as teaching assistant with Economics faculty in core and upper level economics classes, helps students in economics courses and oversees the Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) Program in Economics and develops resources in Economics to support student learning.
